In 1996, the Nigerian men's football (soccer) team overcame all odds and came out with the gold medal at the Atlanta Summer Olympics.  This guy was so psyched that he recorded an album for them.  Very energetic, long jams mostly comprised of drums and vocals.  It's about 30 minutes per side so I had to split Side A into 2 parts for the FLAC (scans are in part 2).  Thanks to imago for pointing out what the full/real name of the artist of the tape is.

Lots more African stuff on the way in the coming weeks.  And I mean lots.

Here's a preview from track 3: Aare (4/22/12) Tr 3 Samp by tapesssss

Barrister discography, if you haven't already seen it. You see that he called this an "extremely good performance!" I've got about half of his releases, but I've never had the chance to hear this one. THANK YOU!!! Looking forward to the additional Africa tapes, too.

PS If you ever get the chance, I recommend Yusuf Olatunji as the roots of the roots of Barrister's Fuji.
